Eye Exams

Annual eye exams allow eye doctors to manage your eye health for extended periods. Our comprehensive eye exams include a range of vision and screening tests that examine your visual acuity, update your prescriptions, and identify early warning signs of vision ailments and eye conditions. We track the minutest of changes in your vision over extended periods to identify (and subsequently treat) troubling signs or patterns before they cause any real damage. Over time, our optometrists in Rancho Santa Margarita also adapt to your changing and unique needs to ensure you retain optimal eye health forever.

Glasses

Getting the correct prescription is just the beginning. Your Rancho Santa Margarita optometrist and optician discuss your prescriptions, lifestyle, expectations, and aesthetic sensibility to recommend the ideal designer glasses to match your facial anatomy and personality. We provide a wide range of designer frames and lens treatments to ensure your glasses are both functional and fashionable.

Contact Lenses

Rancho Santa Margarita Optometry is the one and only source you need for all your contact lens requirements. You can schedule a contact lens fitting either individually or with your annual eye exam. After updating your prescription, our optometrist discusses your expectations and preferences to recommend the ideal contact lenses. We provide a wide range of contact lenses, including soft, rigid, toric, multifocal, fashion, and specialty contact lenses — your optometrist will recommend the ideal lens types for your specific prescription and expectations. We also simplify the reordering process, so you can meet all your contacts needs from our office in Rancho Santa Margarita.

LASIK Consultation

Lasik surgery is an incredibly popular laser eye surgery because it has a nearly perfect success rate. However, Lasik isn’t suitable for everyone — it can only address vision problems caused by refractive errors. At Rancho Santa Margarita Optometry, our exceptional optometrists run a series of screening tests and exams to determine if you’re a suitable candidate for Lasik. If so, we also provide accurate guidelines and recommendations on what you can expect from the procedure.

Vision Problems

Your Rancho Santa Margarita optometrist is committed to your eye health and visual acuity. We aim to ensure that you maintain optimal eyesight and ocular health for a lifetime. Most people consult optometrists when symptoms of vision problems manifest, but that may already be too late in some cases. We run annual eye exams to identify nascent warning signs of vision problems to stop their progress before they cause any damage. If you’re experiencing signs or symptoms of vision problems, please talk to your optometrist in Rancho Santa Margarita immediately.

COVID-19 Update:

Dear Patient,
We are pleased to announce that the California Department of Public Health has given us permission to resume full scope eye care, including preventative care and postponed exams.

At Total Vision Care, the health of our patients, doctors, and associates is our top priority. We are taking precautions to ensure the safety of our community.

Health and safety protocols we are taking:

  • All visits are by appointment to ensure social distancing. This includes picking up of glasses/contact lenses, adjustments on glasses, and ordering new products.
  • Patients are asked to arrive to their appointment alone and notify us from your vehicle once you arrive (a parent/guardian may accompany a minor and a family member/caretaker may assist a senior). Please call the office and someone will greet you at the door.
  • Prior to your entry a team member will take your temperature, provide you with hand sanitizer and ask you a series of questions regarding your health and possible COVID-19 exposure. Our team members are all subject to these same screening protocols.
  • All doctors, associates, and patients must wear masks.
  • Our team sterilizes all equipment and surfaces after every patient and disinfects all frames prior to placing them back on display.

What we ask of patients:

  • If you have any of the following symptoms, you must reschedule your appointment for a future date: Fever, fatigue, cough, shortness of breath, gastro-intestinal symptoms (diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, or stomach pains), recent loss of smell or taste.
  • Please bring a mask which must be worn in our facilities at all times.
  • Your patience in adhering to new safety protocols.
  • Please feel welcome to communicate any questions that you have to your Total Vision Care practice associates.

In addition, we will continue to monitor CDC, WHO, governmental, and optometric associations guidelines and make changes as appropriate to protect our community. Thank you so much for your continued support of our practices. We appreciate your patience throughout this process and for trusting us with your eyecare needs.

Sincerely,
The Total Vision Care Family of Eyecare Professionals
