Your Lasik Consultation at The Classical Eye
Much of your Lasik consultation will remind you of a comprehensive eye exam. Your optometrist will speak to you about your medical history, run tests and screenings to detect whether eye conditions or diseases are present, and test your vision and visual acuity. Your eye doctor will also examine the inner structures of your eye and collect many specific measurements for your surgeon’s later use.
Once all of this is complete, your optometrist will make a determination about the likelihood of a successful Lasik surgery for you. If your eye doctor believes the surgery is advisable, they will also take time to answer your questions about the procedure and help you develop realistic expectations of your recovery and results. In all, your Lasik consultation will last about two hours and will help you decide if Lasik surgery is the right path forward for you.
